Transparency about submission, processing, publication, and other charges is essential for authors planning a manuscript submission.

The existing Author Guidelines state that online account registration is free of charge. This does not, by itself, establish whether the journal charges a manuscript submission fee, article processing charge, publication fee, language-editing charge, or any optional service charge.

- Do not treat a request for payment as evidence that the manuscript has passed peer review or been accepted.
