Article Withdrawal, Corrections, and Retractions
This page sets out a proposed process for requesting withdrawal of an unpublished submission and for assessing post-publication concerns. The policy should be formally approved by the journal's editorial management before it is announced as an operative policy.
1. Withdrawal before publication
An author wishing to withdraw a manuscript should contact the editorial office through the registered corresponding author. The request should identify the manuscript title, submission ID, reason for withdrawal, and consent of all coauthors. The editorial office should confirm the manuscript's current review or production status before communicating its decision.
2. Corrections of published articles
Where an error does not invalidate the main results, a transparent correction notice may be appropriate. The notice should identify the original publication and the information corrected, while preserving an accessible record of the changes.
3. Retractions and editorial expressions of concern
Substantial unreliability, ethical misconduct, or other serious concerns may warrant further investigation and, depending on the evidence, a retraction or an expression of concern. The editorial office should seek relevant explanations, keep an auditable record, and maintain a clear public link between the notice and affected article.
4. Requests and correspondence
Send manuscript-related requests to zahra.pdsi@gmail.com. Authors should not interpret an email request as approval of withdrawal until the journal confirms the decision.
