Online Submission
The ZAHRA submission and editorial workflow is managed through the journal’s Open Journal Systems website. Authors use their account to submit manuscripts and follow editorial correspondence.
Before creating a submission
- Confirm that the manuscript fits the journal scope.
- Read the author guidelines and prepare the applicable journal template.
- Ensure that all authors, author order, affiliations, email addresses, title, abstract, keywords, and references are accurate.
- Confirm that the manuscript is original, not under simultaneous journal review, and ethically appropriate.
Account registration and login
A registered author account is required to submit and monitor a manuscript. Existing users can log in; new users can register. Select or enable the Author role where the registration page offers role options. The current author guidelines state that online registration is free of charge.
Submission workflow in OJS 2
- After login, navigate to the Author area and start a new submission where available.
- Select the appropriate journal section and complete the submission checklist truthfully.
- Upload the manuscript in the format accepted by the system and journal. Follow blind-review instructions for any identifying information.
- Enter manuscript title, abstract, keywords, author names, affiliations, and any required metadata accurately.
- Upload supplementary files only when necessary and permitted, with descriptions and permissions.
- Review the submission summary and formally confirm the submission. Save the assigned submission ID.
After submission
Monitor the workflow using the author dashboard. Editorial communications, revisions, and decisions should be handled through the journal system whenever possible. When invited to revise, provide a revised manuscript and a point-by-point response explaining how the comments were addressed.
Common submission problems
- Cannot access the submission button: verify that you are logged in with the Author role; contact the support contact if the role is unavailable.
- Upload failure: check the accepted file type, file size, file naming, and session expiry.
- Metadata mismatch: correct author order, corresponding author details, and title before the final confirmation.
- Unclear manuscript version: consult the author guidelines or request editorial clarification before uploading.
