Screening for Plagiarism

The journal is committed to maintaining academic integrity and ensuring the originality of all published research. All submitted manuscripts are subject to plagiarism screening as part of the initial editorial assessment to identify potential plagiarism, inappropriate text reuse, and other forms of publication misconduct.

1. Plagiarism Screening Procedure

Submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software or other appropriate similarity-checking tools. The editorial team examines the similarity report to identify overlapping text, unattributed quotations, improper paraphrasing, duplicate publication, and possible reuse of previously published material without appropriate acknowledgment.

2. Similarity Threshold

The journal applies a maximum overall similarity index of 25% as an initial screening guideline. The similarity score is not the sole basis for determining plagiarism. Editors evaluate the nature, source, context, and distribution of matched text, including properly cited material, references, standard terminology, and methodological descriptions. Manuscripts exceeding the threshold may be returned for correction or rejected, depending on the severity and nature of the identified overlap.

3. Forms of Plagiarism and Unacceptable Text Reuse

The journal does not tolerate plagiarism or other forms of inappropriate reuse of scholarly work, including:

  • Direct copying of text, ideas, data, figures, tables, or other material without proper acknowledgment.
  • Inadequate paraphrasing or failure to cite the original source.
  • Self-plagiarism or substantial reuse of an author's previously published material without appropriate disclosure and citation.
  • Duplicate or redundant submission or publication of substantially the same work.
  • Unauthorized use of third-party content or misrepresentation of the originality of research.

4. Editorial Actions

Depending on the screening results and the seriousness of the suspected misconduct, the editorial team may take one or more of the following actions:

  • Request clarification or revision from the authors.
  • Require proper citation, quotation, or permission for reused material.
  • Return the manuscript for substantial correction.
  • Reject the manuscript when serious plagiarism or unacceptable text reuse is identified.
  • Take appropriate action in accordance with publication ethics policies if misconduct is discovered after publication.

5. Authors' Responsibilities

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their submissions are original, properly cited, and free from plagiarism. All sources must be acknowledged accurately, and permission must be obtained when required for copyrighted material. Authors must also disclose any substantial overlap with their previous publications and must not submit the same manuscript simultaneously to multiple journals.

Editorial Commitment:
The journal evaluates similarity reports carefully and consistently to protect the originality, credibility, and integrity of the scholarly record. Final decisions are made by the editorial team based on the full context of the findings rather than the similarity percentage alone.
